Manga discovery(July 2020)

What a great month, I hit 200 followers, I got two awards, did some really fun challenges. I also discovered a lot of good mangas this month and here are some of them. Well I actually raed a lot of mangas this month so I don’t know if there would be enough space to write about all of them so I wrote my opinion for some of the better ones. I’ve mentioned all of the mangas I’ve read so be sure to check them it out.

1. Blue flag

High school senior year, spring—one of life’s important forks in the road. Taichi Ichinose finds himself in the same class as Futaba Kuze, who he feels strangely averse to, and his popular childhood friend, Touma Mita. One day, Futaba confides in him her love for Touma, and asks him for help. How will Taichi respond? This new “pure” love story begins as the three are colored in the emotions of youth.

One of the great Things about manga is that it can show us the characters emotions in other ways than Words. I personally love the way the art style changes to fit the mood or emotions of the characters. It makes it possible to create funny and cute moments and turn it into a deeper and realistic style in a fitting way, its strength comes from its characters and how they’re developed. This was a unique manga and I loved reading it.

2. Haikyuu!!

A chance event triggered Shouyou Hinata’s love for volleyball. His club had no members, but somehow persevered and finally made it into its very first and final regular match of middle school, where it was steamrolled by Tobio Kageyama, a superstar player known as “King of the Court.” Vowing revenge, Hinata applied to the Karasuno High School volleyball club…only to come face-to-face with his hated rival, Kageyama! A tale of hot-blooded youth and volleyball from the pen of Haruichi Furudate!!

I have nothing to say about this manga. I mean what isn’t there in this manga, it’s got everything. This manga is really special to all the anime/manga lovers and of course me too.

3. A good day to be a dog

Hana is cursed into a dog from her first kiss, and the only way for her to break from the curse is to get the second kiss from her first kiss.

First of all I loved this series. I’m really happy that I read this series because this one of the best and the sweetest webtoon I’ve ever read. I would recommend this webtoon for everyone who loves romance because it’s just that good. After a long time I cried for the end of the manga, I still wanted it to go on but that’s that.

4. I Fell in Love with Him at First Sight

5. Tsun-ama na kareshi

Acting cold while pampering you, that’s a tsun-sweet boyfriend.

My dishonest boyfriend always teases me a little, then spoils me a lot. Living with such a boyfriend, my life is full of surprises but overflowing with happiness…!

Tsun-Ama na Kareshi’s chapters are quite short but even more so sweet, and each one revolves around a couple’s routine activities that conclude with either “damn it, he’s so cute” or “damn it, she’s so cute”. The characters fit the overall extreme fluff very nicely.

6. Ai yori aoshi

7. Flat

Heisuke is a young man who was left in charge of taking care of his little cousin Aki for a day. Being an only child who usually stays at home alone, Aki is quiet, reserved, and will go out of his way not to make trouble for others. As they spend more time together, Aki begins to grow very attached to Heisuke, especially since Heisuke’s hobby is to make sweets and desserts. The quiet Aki eventually opens up to Heisuke, and Heisuke in return teaches Aki that sometimes it’s all right to be selfish and say what you really want to do.

The story’s atmosphere is slice-of-life drama. The friendship between Heisuke and Aki is the heart of the story, and there’s not much else but it’s definetely worth a read.

8. Orikou Yaju Niwa Aragaenai

9. Our dining table

Eating around other people is a struggle for salaryman Yutaka, despite his talent for cooking. All that changes when he meets Minoru and Tane—two brothers, many years apart in age—who ask him to teach them how to make his delicious food! Yutaka soon finds himself having a change of heart as he looks forward to the meals they share together.

Its heartwarming and a joy to read from start to finish, it’s a feel good manga in every sense and I had a blast reading it.

10. Karasugaoka Don’t be shy!!

11. Kawaii hito

Hanazono is a 27-year old young man who runs a flower shop. Unfortunately, he’s not pretty or beautiful like the flowers at all! Everyone is afraid of Hanazono because of his eyes. But the truth is, he’s actually a really nice person. His miserable life all changes when he meets Suzuka Hiyori, a beautiful young college student. She wants to be his girlfriend! Wait, what? Follow the tale of this adorable couple in Kawaii Hito!

I just recently discovered this manga and I totally loved it. The characters are sooooo cute. They’re blushing faces are even making me blush, my most favorite thing in this manga is the characters especially Hanazono, for a man he’s so cute and I know Hiyori will agree with me.

12. Seishun note

13. ReRe hello

When Ririko was five, she lost her mother. Since then, she has had to help out her father. Her father started a company of handyman. But then, something horrible happened…

Usually nowadaays I don’t like shojo’s that much because it’s always drama and I’ve read like 50 of them in the last two months. I think I enjoyed this manga because I took a leave from reading shojo mangas for a few days and I think it worked because I’ve never been so happy to read shojo mangas again.

14. Eensy-weensy monster

15. Kimi ga Kirai na Koi no Hanashi

The favourite committee member, Chihiro. The problem child who always skip, Kisaragi-kun gets himself involved by the teacher, and the relationship changes..!! Chihiro was very troubled by the ill mouth and uncooperative Kisaragi, but…!? The favourite committee x handsome delinquent, a heart throbbing school love starts!

Personally I love all the works by Mizuki Sora, she wrote my favorite one shot of all time and I think this one of her best works because I loved it. The story’s not too complicated which is nice and I really liked the character development and the artwork.

16. Koi no Mizu Kudasai

17. Honey so sweet

Little did Nao Kogure realize back in middle school that when she left an umbrella and a box of bandages in the rain for injured delinquent Taiga Onise that she would meet him again in high school. Nao wants nothing to do with the gruff and frightening Taiga, but he suddenly presents her with a huge bouquet of flowers and asks her to date him—with marriage in mind! Is Taiga really so scary, or is he a sweetheart in disguise?

Man, and I thought I could never find another cute manga. This is just off the charts, I felt like the story was nice but too much and artwork was amazing, I could really feel all the facial expressions especially the blushing part. I thought I already read it but I think it was the oneshot.

18. Jun to kaoru

19. Game over

A middle school BOY and a beautiful OL, an extraordinary love story, from their meeting until goal in.” Akemi is a beautiful OL, who is rather bored by the unchanging everyday life. To make things interesting, she plays a little game. A simple game. Every day at 7:14, she gets on her usual bus, picks another rider that piques her interest, and sits next to them. If they do a double-take on her, she wins her game. It was just supposed to kill time, but it turned out to be quite entertaining. One who is sleeping suddenly wakes up, one who is reading stops in realization… a short game. Still, a fun one. Until one day, she sits next to a kid who doesn’t seem to take notice of her. Was he just pre-occupied? Maybe he’s just too young? Akemi is irked, and finds that she has to up her ante, determined to win this game.

Well actually before getting into the main story there are few one shots which are really nice to read. After a few chapters the real story comes, at the beginning I seriously had no idea where the story was taking me but at the end it brought me a good place. I kinda like the fact that Akemi is playing a game without even knowing that she fell in love.

20. Hana ni arashi

21. Nineteen, Twenty-One

Yun-lee is a girl who is carrying a huge emotional scar in her heart. Due to an accident, she lost 2 precious years of her life, the time period between 19 and 21 years old. Her life is empty. She is miserable, but still attending a preparatory school in an attempt to catch up with all the time she has lost. Suddenly, one day on her way to feed some stray cats, she comes across a young man who seems to have what she has lost… the period between 19 and 21 years old.

The second webtoon I’ve read this month. This isn’t really a extensive romance manga, the story develops more about how the two care for cats. To tell the truth the story mostly has nothing to do with the synopsis, the topic of 19 and 21 si covered really less, the story is mostly about how they treat the cats. Either way this webtoon was guilty pleasure for me so be sure to check it out.

Well that’s all. A grea month for me came to an end. You must be thinking that I erad a lot of manga, well most of them had only 5 chapters max. Anyway I loved all these series so I think you could give it a try too.

Thank you for reading.
