Mushishi Anime

Synopsis: They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as “Mushi”. Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a “Mushi-shi” who travels around to investigate and find out more about the “Mushi”. In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurrences which may be related to the “Mushi”.

Mushishi. The anime that blew everybody’s expectations away, is it a masterpiece. I don’t know yet, I have only watched the first episode as of now and I have some thoughts. But before that I should mention that I’m reading the manga alongside as well because first I really wanted to manga but at the same time I also wanted to watch the anime and this somewhat of a brilliant idea came to mind that why not do both. So now I ended to watching the anime and reading the manga.

My first impressions were that, one the pacing was a little too fast, it goes by the same pacing as the manga but when it comes to an anime it’s harder to understand. Another one that I realized is that anime is page by page manga, it’s harder to find a difference between the manga and the anime.

I would choose the manga for the pacing and it makes more sense because of the different dialogues but the anime for the music and the beautiful animation. In the end the concept is same in both, so both are exceptional choices if you wanna watch/read it. Definitely a interesting one, that’s for sure.

Now back to what I was doing and thank you for reading.

  1. OMG, I loved this series when it first came out! It’s just so different from so many series. Mushishi and Natsume Yujincho are two anime that I can watch over and over again and never get tired of them.
