Tokyo Ghoul: First impressions

Tokyo Ghoul - Vol. 1: Volume 1 : Sui Ishida: Amazon.in: Books

Synopsis: Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she’s only interested in his body—eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own.

Yes, I have started reading Tokyo Ghoul. It’s something I’ve been wanting to get on for a long time and since it’s been 10 years since it’s released, I thought why not read it now to commemorate it. I have watched season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul a few years so I don’t remember much and since the anime is bad, I planned on reading the manga. I also have the 7th vol for some reason.

My impressions

Let’s go!!!! I can’t believe I’m finally reading this, so excited but anyway it was a really good first chapter. The chapters reveals most of the characters that we would meeting in the upcoming chapters and to also how kaneki became a ghoul. The ending to the 1st chapter was also amazing.

As the guy who already read the 7th vol for some reason, I already know this is gonna be one hell of a journey till there. The first chapter also shows the kind of art style and the body horror we’ll be seeing in the upcoming chapters, so yeah back to reading again.

By the way this panel just summarizes the entire 1st chapter.

Thank you for reading.
