Fall anime 2022 I’m loving so far and plan on watching

Hey guys, I know I’m pretty late on this since it’s almost halfway through fall😅. My bad. But I decided to write a post anyway.

And thanks to momomanamu for sharing this idea. Let’s get into it.

Chainsaw man

Chainsaw man

Synopsis: Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.

One of the most awaited animes this fall. Chainsaw man… what do I say about this except for the fact that it’s f***ing amazing(sorry got a little too excited there). I’ve been waiting for it forever, even though I watch anime considerably less than “my prime” but chainsaw man has been on my mind ever since I finished the first part of the manga on Dec 2020(it feels like a eternity😢). I even wrote a post about the hype on Chainsaw man last year and I must say it’s well deserved. We’re only 6 episodes and MAPPA is already showing its peak skills.

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War

Bleach

Synopsis: When new Soul Reapers and a new enemy appear in his hometown of Karakura, Ichigo jumps back into the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to help those in need. Meanwhile, the Soul Society is observing a sudden surge in the number of Hollows being destroyed in the World of the Living. They also receive separate reports of residents in the Rukon District having gone missing. Finally, the Seireitei, home of the Soul Reapers, comes under attack by a group calling themselves the Wandenreich. (Source: MAL)

After 10 years, Bleach finally returns for its last season. After finishing the manga, I was really hyped for the season and so far it has not disappointed. I had my doubts about an 2000s anime returning(a big 3 Shonen too) but it’s really good – the visuals were top class, the character design was nice, the osts were total bops(especially rapport). The main thing I felt while watching this was pure nostalgia. Although I never watched all the arcs of the original Bleach, it still gave me a hit of nostalgia. I’m also happy for Tite Kubo that now he can watch his work get a proper finish.

Urusei Yatsura

Synopsis: When an alien race known as the Oni invade Earth, the chronically unlucky and unapologetically lecherous Ataru Moroboshi is selected as humanity’s representative in a duel for the fate of the planet! His opponent is Lum, the Oni’s very pretty princess, and it’s only thanks to Ataru’s unscrupulous behavior that he’s able to scrape out a win in a treacherous game of tag against her. Ataru thinks he’s had his lucky break at last, but when Lum takes a shine to him off the battlefield, the conflict follows him home as Lum invades not only planet Earth, but also the womanizing Ataru’s love life! (Source: HIDIVE)

A remake of the 1981 original, Urusei yatsura has been on my read list for a long time but since this version is more accesible, I’ll be watching this first. I haven’t started it yet but will get on it soon.

Do It Yourself!!

Synopsis: Building furniture and friendships have a lot in common. Intention, effort, and hard work are needed for both crafts. This is a story of girls in a DIY club building both as they carve out their futures. None of it comes easy, but that doesn’t stop any of ’em. Furniture, friendships, and the future—they’re building it all with their own hands!(Source: Crunchyroll)

Definitely was not on my watchlist, I wanted to read the manga first but I’m kinda curious to see how the anime will be. The synopsis kinda gave me K-on vibes so will be curious to see how it goes.

Romantic Killer

Synopsis: Anzu Hoshino is a “non-heroine type” high school girl who pays no attention to fashion or romance and spends every day playing video games. When the wizard Riri suddenly appears, Anzu is forced to participate in the Magical World’s project to stop population decline. This romantic comedy depicts what happens when Anzu goes from living a life immersed in her three favorite things — video games, chocolate, and cats — to being surrounded by handsome guys. Anzu is steadfast in her claim that she never wanted to live in a dating simulation game. She meets a handsome guy who is so popular it hurts, a clean-cut and athletic childhood friend, and a beautiful rich young guy who is naive about the outside world. By meeting Anzu, they all begin to change gradually. (Source: Netflix)

This anime popped up one trending every once in a while on anilist and I checked it to see what was that about. This is literally your generic rom-com but it had some really good rating so interested in how it’ll develop. This anime came out of nowhere and left me… well pleased. I’m in a few episodes and it’s pretty good.

Kagami no Kojou

Synopsis: In a tranquil neighbourhood of Tokyo, seven teenagers wake to find their bedroom mirrors are shining. At a single touch, they are pulled from their lonely lives to a wondrous castle filled with winding stairways, watchful portraits and twinkling chandeliers. In this new sanctuary, they are confronted with a set of clues leading to a hidden room where one of them will be granted a wish. But there’s a catch: if they don’t leave the castle by five o’clock, they will be punished.

As time passes, a devastating truth emerges: only those brave enough to share their stories will be saved. (Source: Doubleday)

One of the movies I’ll be watching this month and plus that synopsis looks interesting. I gotta say that poster really got me, the art looks really great on it. It’s been a long time since I watched a movie so this will be a good time to get back into it.

You must be wondering, just how much anime am I going to watch when I said I don’t watch anime that much anymore. I’m looking forward to these animes and I don’t know whether I can watch each and everyone at the same time but I’ll try my best.

Thanks for reading.
