Few anime masterpieces of our times

Anime masterpieces I discovered today. So as usual, I was scrolling through YouTube and stumbled upon Scamboli Reviews video on “I Found The Worst Rated Anime on The Internet” and it peaked my curiosity. What are the worst anime on the internet? In the video he went through a few anime that he found to be the lowest rated on MyAnimeList and just summarized them. If you want you can go watch it, it’s a really great video and a funny one too.

While I was watching the video, I got an idea for a post. Why don’t I review the same anime he did – a totally original idea. So what I did was do a review session on my Instagram where I pretty much spammed stories of me laughing at the awfulness(and unexpectedness) of the animes.

Vampire Holmes

Rating: 8/10

Director: Yoshinobu Sena

Synopsis: The great detective Holmes does not solve mysteries or use deductive reasoning. He does, however, hunt vampires. Using three-minute episodes, Vampire Holmes retells the story of the great Holmes and his assistant. What begins as an ordinary detective agency takes a turn for the occult when the Metropolitan Police of London secretly hire Holmes and Hudson to investigate vampires.

The first anime I watched was Vampire Holmes. Which was slightly disappointing, when I saw the snippets from the video, it looked like the best out of all three. But it was mostly boring with slightly funny scenes. While I was watching it, the one thing I couldn’t wrap my head around was how the creator made 3 minute episodes boring.

Still certain “exceptional” scenes stood out from the crowd. For example like this:

or like this

Anyways I had quite some fun. It’s also only 25 minutes including all the 12 episodes, so you can check it out if you want. Here’s the video – Vampire Holmes

Mars of destruction

Rating: 10/10

Director: Yoshiteru Satou

Synopsis: Some time after a space mission to Mars ends in destruction, strange monsters called “Ancients” begin appearing around Tokyo. A group of specialists consisting of three girls and one troubled young boy must fight the Ancients until they can come to understand exactly what it is they are fighting. When one of the Ancients tells them that they are the true invaders of Earth, they must search within themselves to grasp what truly is reality.

Out of all the three anime, this was by far my favorite mainly due to hilarious fandub version. The dub looked like it was made by three drunk dudes who just wanted to try out dubbing and boy was it the amazing. From the power rangers theme to the Italian accent to the gun sounds, everything was just perfect. This was the first time I ever saw a dub better than the sub version.

Overall, I loved this. It’s only one episode so I recommend you go watch it. Watch the Dub version, the Sub version will literally bore you death. Here’s the video – Mars of destruction

Dark cat

Rating: 1/10

Director: Iku Suzuki

Synopsis: Hyoi and Ryoi, two brothers with the power to take the form of cats, must unravel the mystery of a creeping, tenticled, demon plauge before it consumes them and their classmates. Ultimately, they must confront their old Dark Cat master Jukokubo, though whether they can put an end to the evil he has released remains a mystery.

I have nothing to say about this one. It’s literally shit. There’s not one positive thing to say about this movie except for mu douji. The story is corny and bad, the sounding is bad and the voice acting is even worse, literally nothing is good here. There are also a lot of gross and disturbing scene which I had no idea what to think about since I it was so confusing as to why that scene itself is there.

Finally, Dark cat is a garbage movie that no one should watch but if you have dumb curiosity like me, I know you will(also the people with trash taste). It’s no surprise that most people gave it a 1/10(including me). I’m not going to post the link here since I don’t want anyone to watch it but if you want to, it’s also in YouTube.

The last anime literally gave me the suffering of a lifetime but somehow I got through it. Anyways, if you guys also like me have watched stumbled upon and watched these animes, be sure to leave a comment on what you thought about them. And also check out my Instagram page(id – eggsandwitches04) where I spam more random anime related things.

That’s all for now, see you guys in the next post.
